Baccalaureate Service

Date: Friday, May 6, 2016
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: Graebner Memorial Chapel

The Baccalaureate service is a celebration of and thanksgiving to God for lives dedicated to learning, wisdom, and service. The 40-minute ceremony will include Biblical readings, a homily by President Ries, hymns for the assembly, anthems from Concordia’s Christus Chorus, and prayers and blessings for the graduates and their families. The Baptismal calling and vocation of the entire community will be recognized in a litany led by President Ries.

All students, faculty, staff and their family and friends are welcomed and encourage to attend this special service. Graduating students are encouraged to wear their academic attire as they sit with their family, celebrating their academic achievement.

General reservations are not required and admission is free. A light reception will immediately follow in the adjoining Cross of Christ Fellowship Center.
